The Actors List
Actors Agents and Personal Managers
for 12 month's membership!
One of the greatest challenges facing an actor is the process of securing representation. As a newcomer or even a seasoned professional the sheer volume of agents and personal managers operating in the UK can seem daunting. Some agencies welcome submissions while others reject them as a waste of their time and the actors money.
We believe that it is in the best interests of both the actor and the agency to be transparent regarding submissions.
We want to help you to make the most informed decision that you can. The more informed an actor is about an agency the more they can target according to their type. This allows the actor to make a more judicious mailout rather than the blanket mailouts that have been a feature of British actors for years. This will result in savings in time and money for the actor but hopefully decrease the mountain of mail that the agent receives as well. The less general submissions the agent receives the more time they have to look at potential clients.
The Actors List
The Agents & Personal Managers List
Details on over 300 of the top agents and personal managers working in the UK today. Full contact details including a detailed guide on submitting your details.
The Casting Directors List
Details on the major Casting Directors, how important they are, what kind of projects they cast and where you can contact them...
Each entry contains:
The Name of the Agency
The official title of the agency. Out of respect it is important that you should address the agency by its proper title. It shows care and attention to detail.
The full and most up to date contact details of the agency office.
Although we will always list the number for completion sake you should never, ever, ever ring the agency unless you have been invited to do so. There is no better way to annoy a busy agent than to call them directly. All communications should be by post or email only.
If available this should be your first resource in finding out more information about the agency. Besides the general information you should also check the client lists in detail. Who do they represent? How large is the client base? Do they have anyone like you already on their books?
Should only be used for submitting details and even then it is important to check that they are willing to accept submissions by email.
The names of the various agents and occasionally their assistants. Make sure to spell the agent's name correctly as not doing so would reflect very poorly on your application.
Key contact if applicable
Sometimes agencies will nominate a key contact to which all submissions should be addressed.
Without providing a ranking system we give you a sense of how established the agency is and their standing within the industry.
For only £4.99 you get access to the full list for a period of one month. There are no hidden charges and you will not be recharged at the end of the period.
